Deeply rooted in their laid back coastal lifestyle, their unique world class sound has earned Australian group OKA a reputation as a ‘ stand out ' live act.

With their energetic and musically diverse performances, their huge underground following has been attributed to their fusion of eclectic world sounds: roots, dub, reggae, jazz and organic electronica.

Woven into their percussive chillout dance-grooves, the Yidaki's (didgeridoo's)  pulsates a rhythmic and powerful tribal heartbeat. This magical instrument, originates from an amazing people and incredible land - Australia. From this ancient culture comes Stu boga Fergie. A descendent of the Yakin Andu people, Stu was given the nickname 'DidgeriSTU' at a young age after his elders admired his ability and respect for this instrument.

A storyteller in the tradition of his ancestors, didgeriStu's ability to express the spirituality of his land and his people has made him into a powerful voice for young indigenous Australians.

His presence and Yidaki-playing skills will draw you in and connect you to his land and his people, creating a cultural experience as well as a musical one.

Chris brings many different flavours to the mix, a multi-instrumentalist with melodies drawn from his love of Ancient India and inspired by the beauty of the many and varied cultures of this Earth.

okawavesticker Together,  the OKA boys reflect the multicultural landscape in Australia, exploring and celebrating the fusion of cultures within a musical context. The essence of their music is a spontaneous creation  -  no two gigs are ever the same as their live improvisation shapes each song into a beautiful and mystical soundscape. They create their own utopia, their vibe is infectious. It will rock your body and move your soul.

With numerous critically acclaimed performances, like the 2007 Montreal Jazz  festival (Canada), the last three years at Woodford Folk festival and the Dreaming Festival (Australia), their " must see " live shows reveal their epic sound, and are winning them audiences all around the globe.
