Response this year has been fantastic - thanks to all the great acts that have applied, we look forward to announcing a brilliant first release line up later this month.

The music at Coastfest 2008 will be as DIVERSE as ever. Featuring the best contemporary and alternative Blues & Roots, World & Folk artists. Magnificent camping, both bush retreat and waterfront, will be provided for successful applicants as well as limited lodge accommodation.

When applying pease include detail of any other aspects you may be able to offer the festival. Offers to help as MC’s, venue managing and other festival tasks as well as marketing and promotion of the event, are most welcome and will be taken into consideration when choosing successful performers.  

Consideration is also given to performers who are available for the duration of the festival and not just the peak times. In choosing this year’s successful applicants we will be looking at selecting performers to give the festival variety and a mix of something for everyone. We select different styles, genres, age groups, new and old, workshops, groups and solos.
 
While some past performers at the festival may be chosen again because of their popularity on the festival surveys received, we will also look for new acts to make this year’s festival an exciting one.  We receive a large number of applications for this festival from extremely talented and suitable performers and it is always difficult to make the final selections, so if you are not successful this year, please try again next year as everyone has an opportunity to be selected.

Also if you are unsuccessful - remember there are plenty of SESSIONS, a BLACKBOARD VENUE, the CHAI TENT and other opportunities to perform if you come along or join up as a performer facilitator member .
